Accidental blurting

I’ve always wondered how happy people actually manage to make themselves un-happy by messing up the good stuff in their lives.

Good things never last, maybe, but with life being too short should we really rely on convenient excuses to keep consoling ourselves for every loss?

Then all of a sudden, you come across a warring couple announcing their frustrations, with one at least showing hints of… fading hope. The other? He makes it official: “It’s over.”

Yes, I’ve always wondered how happy people actually manage to make themselves un-happy by screwing it up and then regretting the whole thing altogether.

Happy people, don’t. It’s so very easy for most to yell, “It’s over;” tomorrow is another day, after all. But for the rest of us? It’s tears in secret, and the plea under quiet sobs: “It’s real, and it’s important…” Yet nobody notices.
